Around 2:30 on Sunday, Grover Dake stopped in to the Stewarts in Rexford (Clifton Park). Rather than try his luck in the Mega Millions he decided to grab some cash out of the register and make a run for it. A customer wound up tackling him in the parking lot and holding him until police arrived.
The twist in this story is Grover's last name, Dake. Stewarts Shops is owned by Bill & Susan Dake. The Times Union confirmed he is in fact a distant relative of the owners.

There are Kohl's stores located in Colonie, Clifton Park, Amsterdam, and Wilton.
Is it safe to say by 2014 stores will be open on Christmas day?

Owner John DeJohn tells Steve Barnes of the Times Union that a decline in business is to blame, which he places in part on the Lark Street neighborhood organizations. Part of the problem, he says, is that DeJohn's and Legends are forced to close at 2am, while other bars in the area are allowed to stay open until 4.
DeJohn owns the buildings that house Legends and DeJohn's, but doesn't have any clear plans on what to do with them after they close. His other restaurants: Justin's, Legends on Pearl, and DeJohn's Ship Pub will stay open.
