Since the sun's returned and melted all of the snow the sounds of the Northeastern Allergy Choir have been delighting the masses. My high pitch sneezes are a big hit here in the web department... and by big hit I mean, I can hear everyone slamming their heads on their desks as they don't believe the power of my sneezes are natural. Speaking of natural, here are some natural allergy relievers for all of my fellow allergy sufferers out there. 

So back in the day, elder generations used to hand down "secrets" to their kin and friends for useful hints around the house. Today we have unlimited access to this kind of information with the internet. I am always excited to share something new I've learned. Today I learned a bunch of tricks for non traditional uses of household goods. It's amazing how many made me think "well that makes sense- why didn't I think of that before?!" The first one I can't wait to try out is the tip of getting old printed pictures unstuck from each other. Looking through old photos never gets old- I can't wait to see the one's that've been stuck behind others for years! Do you ever feel like you have psychic abilities? Like you know something's happened before you've been informed? For example, while getting ready for work this morning I was thinking about a friend I'd lost touch with (and surprisingly isn't part of the social media world) about 4 years back and how I was going to reach out to another friend for her phone number later today as I'd hoped to reconnect here soon. By the time I got to work this morning, before I could reach out to the mutual acquaintance, my phone went off with a notification that the person I had wanted to reach out to has requested me follow her on Instagram. It was like my subconscience sent a message out into the world and it was recieved. This wasn't just a coincidence. These types of "freaky coincidences"  happen to me at least every other week. For example, one of the most powerful intuitive experiences I've ever experienced was waking up one morning with a pit in my stomach and a tremendous feeling of loss, in which a few hours later I'd recieved a phone call that one of my best friends who lived 800 miles away had been killed in a car accident.

Some have tried justify these things as hieghtened awareness, but that just doesn't validate many of my situation. This morning my fellow web teammates suggested I look into collective unconscious and Carl Jung. My research led me to some very interesting revelations.

Apparently Carl Jung was a psychologist who founded the dynamics of the psyche which later influenced the development of the Myers Briggs personality test and indicators. Over the years I've found these Myers Briggs personality tests very insightful on my own personality and dynamic in the world. The Myers Briggs breaks you down into 16 personality types. I am an INFJ and have been true to that for quite a few years now. As there is for each personality type- there is a long description, which goes in depth, tells you in which sector your talents would be best used, relates you to influential and familiar people like leaders and social influencers, ect. 

Now let's revert back to where this whole post started- over the excitement and looking for understanding over my intuition. The main site I used to research, webspace.ship.edu described my types as follows: 

"INFJ (Introverted intuiting with feeling): These are serious students and workers who really want to contribute. They are private and easily hurt. They make good spouses, but tend to be physically reserved. People often think they are psychic. They make good therapists, general practitioners, ministers, and so on."

On that note, I'm going to find peace for the day in my inuition and come back to the thought next time one of one of these intuitions comes up. May you all have a serendipitous day! 

If you're anything like me- half the happiness you get from going to a public place is taking in the sights of the others around you. The airport is my absolute favorite. I love to wonder where people are going- who to see- and what to do. Travelling around the holidays makes me especially happy thinking of people getting to see their loved ones. My second favorite part is seeing all the silly people- you know, those people that you can REALLY appreciate their uniqueness and sense of humors. While others drink coffee for a little extra pep in their day, I like tea. I try and use loose tea as much as possible, but often times I don't have a clean tea ball or I need to be quick about it. That being said, I often end up just throwing a tea bag in a cup of water and pop it in the microwave for a minute. After some investigation, I found some wonderful tips on "Making Tea Using A Microwave" at RateTea.com. I will from this point forward be a safer microwave tea maker and now you can be too!

As a non-scientific person, who likes learning about science, I always appreciate a large scientific progression, especially in regard to helping the environment. Most of us try to take measures on land to make an environmentally friendly world, but the ocean is another story, as they are not in the majority of our backyards, making efforts less commonplace. When I think about cleaning up the ocean, the first thing that comes to my mind is oil, however, as we know, much more pollution corrupts the waters and sea life. It turns out the Great Pacific Ocean Garbage Patch (this is where the currents of the 4 oceans come together and form a natural whirlpool with collects much of the trash from the Pacific) may be getting some assistance in collecting plastic in the ocean thanks to a forward thinking 19-year-old who has developed the Ocean Cleanup Array. Kudos to Mr.Slat for his talents and creating a cleaner planet for tomorrow.

So upon blogging today, I had remembered that I saw a video at the end of the day Friday that I wanted to share with you all. I completely forgot what the video pertained to, but quickly found the saved link in my bookmarks. So, I still think this video is pretty cool, maybe not quite as mesmerizing as at 5pm on Friday, but still fun! Enjoy! 

Never a dull moment when Simon's in stowe. I couldn't have asked for a funnier pup if I wanted. Every morning Simon rides to and from work with me as he is lucky enough to go to doggie daycare Monday-Friday. This morning Simon decided to take the ride down the Northway positioned a little differently than usual. He never fails to amuse by trying to defy odds in life while giving me minor heart attacks.
