In a world that often makes me nervous about attitude and perspective (I'm guilty at times), as I think we live in a fearful and negative place most days I was pleasantly surprised to see and hear so many optimistic people on Valentine's Day! Our office had such a happy air about it yesterday which surely set my mood off right from the get go. At the end of the day I went to pick my dog up from daycare and the girl that works at the desk (who has shared with me recently that she's single) was all smiles, self decorated for the holiday in a red bead necklace. Once my responsibilities of the day were over with it was time to celebrate with my three beautiful, happy and positive single girlfriends who I spent the evening laughing with over Hibachi. I could have sworn we were the happiest people in the restaurant regarldess of the fact that we were all paying for our own meals. It was so uplifting that the world seemed to be happy and understanding that Valentine's Day wasn't only about lovers but a day to share love and appreciation for those you care for, even platonically. I hope you all had wonderful Valentine's Days whether you spent it with your lover, your family, a friend(s), your furry roommate, or even with just your radio :)

Here's a picture from my dinner last night! We couldn't have had a better chef!
