This Sunday, I am hosting a vendor party. About 6 months back I hosted my very first shopping/catalog party and really enjoyed it. So I had to do it again, but apparently this time I felt the need to take it to the next level- as I often do. Never heard of a vendor party before? I hadn't either, but shared the idea with a friend who said she'd been to one and had a blast, so I took on the challenge to host one! A vendor party is where you invite multiple companies (I'm doing Pampered Chef, 31 Bags, Arbonne, Shush Shoes, and Essential Oils) and each set up a table for people to walk around and check out/shop at while they socialize. I chose to do my party at the beginning of the holiday shopping season- as a little kickoff event to knocking people off that long holiday list.

Given my love for Pinterest, I've come up with an array of recipes for appetizers and sweets which will encompass my weekend- preopping tonight through Sunday Morning. Tonight, I'll hit the stores to get all of my cooking ingredients and to pick up a few last minute things like decorations, paperware, and of coarse some vino. I almost have all of the raffle baskets together- just a few things left to pick up for those. The whole party is catered towards the holidays and to making a sometimes daunting process of holiday preparation easier. For the raffles not only do I have the vendors donating items, but I've made a basket for "Your Boss", "Your Babysitter", and "Your Scrapbooking Nana." Guests can earn tickets for every $20 they spend with the vendors and an arms length for every friend they bring that I don't know.

I've been planning this for months, have gotten some friends involved to help me plan and market and it's been a lot of fun so far. Now that I'm just hours away from the weekend my excitement has grown dramatically. I can't wait to start cooking, to see so many friends and family members, and hope to meet some new people!

I'll update you all on Monday on how it goes! There's sure to be a kitchen horror story, a funny mix-up, and some exciting new connections!

If anyone's interested in attending, please feel free to join! The party is this Sunday, November 4th 2pm-6pm at The Paddocks of Saratoga Clubhouse (the green building). The address is 1 Ascot Circle, Saratoga Spring, NY 12866. When you get to the raffle table let Patty (my mom) know you heard about it from my blog on WTRY and she'll give you a free arms length of raffle tickets :)
