An executive with a prominent non-profit is facing charges she illegally shifted taxpayer grants.

Jacqueline Gentile, the COO of two subsidiaries of Peter Young Housing, Industries, and Treatment is charged with grand larceny.

The Attorney General's Office says Gentile took over one million dollars worth of state contracts intended for the needy and used it instead to pay employee salaries and close balance sheet deficits.

Gentile is also accused of falsifying time sheets for ex-Assemblyman William Boyland, whom prosecutors say had a no-show job.

The Brooklyn politician was convicted extortion and bribery earlier this year.
